Everything on this page is 2025 season data — last year's offenses, used as the starting point for 2026. That includes every playcaller name below: it's who called plays in 2025, not necessarily who's calling them for 2026 — 20 of 32 teams have a new one, marked NEW wherever a chart names a playcaller.

Designed targets, by playcaller 2025
Screens and RPOs are decided before the snap — the ball is scheduled to a spot, not earned by a receiver winning his route after it. The highest-scoring offense wasn't the fastest one
LA led the league in scoring (30.5 ppg) running fewer plays than the pace leaders — pace buys possessions, not points.

Play-action does not help running backs the way it looks like it does
A back scores 12.6% more per target on play-action — but 0% more per route. The extra points come from which targets he gets, not from the offense looking at him more often. Receivers are the opposite: +25.8% per route for a WR and +27.4% for a tight end, which is real added value rather than a reshuffle.
